Labor Day Towpath Ride

Labor Day weather is looking perfect for a ride. A few of us doing the Hancock Horizontal Hundred next weekend are going on a 28 mile ride on the Towpath from the Deep Lock Quarry Trailhead to Rockside Road. We'll eat lunch at one of the restaurants in the Rockside Road area before heading back south. It's 14 miles each way. If you want, you can do the 14 miles north and take the train back south. The group will probably cycle around 12 mph on this ride.

Ellen, You can keep up. That's about the speed we went. The other folks signed up are also about the same speed cyclists as you are.

Sorry, I forgot to check back for your reply, Tom (I was helping a friend paint most of yesterday). Hope it was a good ride!

Low 70s and a pleasant holiday ride... Trail was somewhat busy as usual around Peninsula. We had pleasant conversation during lunch at Quaker Steak and Lube. 31 miles seemed to go fast.
